Event Photography at the Island Health Trauma Conference

Earlier this month I had the privilege of photographing the fourth annual Island Health Trauma and Critical Care Conference, held this year at the Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort and Conference Centre in Parksville on May 2nd.

Hosted in association by the Victoria General Hospital and the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, the conference saw healthcare professionals from both districts come together for a day of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

From nurses and emergency physicians to paramedics and trauma surgeons, healthcare professionals from multiple domains in the realm of trauma care were present. It was an inspiring day to witness such a strong sense of collaboration and shared purpose among professionals dedicated to advancing trauma and critical care.

Events like this highlight the importance of continuous learning, interdisciplinary connection, and the collective effort it takes to improve patient outcomes. I’m grateful to have been part of documenting such an important gathering.
